Project Manager

Headquarter office (Old Saybrook, CT) preferred, hybrid work considered

TELYON is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Commercial and Industrial (C&I) solar projects to join our dynamic team. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of C&I solar projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of C&I solar projects, including site assessments, system design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to establish project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, specifications, and change orders, to ensure accuracy and completeness. Ability to understand and read construction drawings and plans.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates, resolving conflicts, and addressing concerns to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, anticipate challenges, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions and maximize project performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or related field. Quality industry experience may be substituted for a college degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the commercial and industrial solar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, components, and installation techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as: Procore, Helioscope, Bluebeam, and PVsyst.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects concurrently, from initiation to completion, while meeting quality, schedule, and budgetary objectives.
  • Understanding of relevant codes, standards, regulations, and permitting requirements related to solar energy projects.
